The Player-Characters in the Mysteries of the Lost Province Campaign set in the Wilderlands of Midgard
Grey: Male Elf Assassin. Out-cast, Killer, Runaway
Considered cursed by the queen of the fey court he was born into because of his albino appearance, Grey escaped murder due to a merciful courtier. His motivation is to escape the twin horrors of his court-of-origin and the assassin’s guild that shielded and trained him until he ran away. Both are hot on his trail for blood. But can he run away from the murderer he has become? Is redemption somewhere down the road?
Hazel: Female Half-Elf Druid. Beast Mistress with a Mystery
Hazel was born in a town of half-elves now a part of the Lost Province. She does not understand how that can be, or how she was hidden away. All she knows his she was discovered, a baby amongst its ruins, by a pack of wolves lead by two Edlewölfe. Her motivation is to discover her place of origin and learn more of her family and its demise.
Holly: Female Human Cleric. The Caretaker of Body and Sense
Holly is the healer for the adventurers. Mentored by Mother Glenroe, the Sibyl of Salt Spring, she is less bound to a formal cultus and instead serves the sacred more generally. Mother Glenroe’s instructions included the healing arts and how to recognize manifestations of the divine. Holly is respectful but not overawed when encountering the divine. Led by Fate to recover magical relics and return them to their proper places, Holly is a bit of a magnet for the odd and the lost.
Severian: Male Human Fighter. Muscle, Mask, Instigator
Certified by the City-State as an executioner, he has put aside his regular itinerary for a journey to find the daughter that he never knew he had. Who is she? Where is she? And what will it mean for them both when he finds her? He only knows that he is driven to find her and the truth she represents.
Thora: Female Dark-Elf (=Dwarf) Bard. The Princess of Chaos and Social Interaction
Her motivation is to escape the confines and expectations of her kingdom and her role as princess to experience the broader world. Thora comes from the mountain dwellers, not the barrow dwellers. She generally eschews the dilemma of “dominate or be dominated” that is so much of her people’s history, by seeking the freedom of sharing new knowledge, skills, and experiences. Generally – but it sometimes reemerges as a temptation.
